Miss Modesty

Red headed 11-year-old Ella Gunderson appears to be leading a movement towards more modest fashions (Britney backlash). She started her campaign with a letter to Nordstrom complaining about the skimpy selections...

"I see all of these girls who walk around with pants that show their belly button and underwear," she wrote. "Your clearks (sic) sugjest (sic) that there is only one look. If that is true, then girls are suppost (sic) to walk around half naked."

According to this AP story Ella's onto something. They quote mag editors and fashion experts talking about how higher waistlines and lower hemlines are starting to appear in stores and fashion spreads.

Funny quote from marketing expert:

"The next big trend I see is kids are going to look like monks."
