Less is More…Bling That Is

The New York Times (registration required) informs us that teenage girls are done with the hip hop and funky pop styles worn by Avril and J. Lo and taking their cues from the couture-clad TV and movie stars featured in mags like Teen Vogue and Elle Girl. This is all according to magazine editors, Hollywood publicists and a teen intern at Elle Girl, of course, which means it mostly applies to what white teen girls are wearing. I can't imagine African American urban girls going gaga for Mischa Barton's look. This also sounds like an iteration of the more modesty/conservative is in trend we've been covering for the past few months.
