The big buzz in the blogosphere is about how Apple has sued a blog called ThinkSecret for writing about insider information that was "leaked" to ThinkSecret's publisher (19-year-old Harvard University freshman Nicholas M. Ciarelli). Ciarelli is a huge Mac enthusiast who according to a lengthy story on this in the Washington Post (reg. required), started his blog at 13. This story has been fairly negative for Apple, at least in Blogland. When companies that want to reach teenagers (think the recording industry) start suing them, you're not exactly endearing yourself to your target audience. And the press is definitely playing up the Mac sues teen angle. If Mac wants to keep its elite status among youth, they may want to consider backing off or [gasp] just talking with Ciarelli and finding an amicable way to co-exist.
