College Students Gone Wild

While lots of people are excited about the potential of "consumer generated video" (including me and my compadres at INdTV)…the low cost of cameras is also contributing to a boom in co-ed amateur porn. USA Today looks at what the cheaper cams hath wrought on that beer bong infused college rite of passage known as Spring Break..From the article:

In this digital age, everyone's a potential amateur pornographer poised to turn a few seconds of immaturity into a lifetime of Web-based infamy.

Does anyone care? Listen and you'll hear two entities using the same mouth. One is the collegian talking; the other is the beer.

"You've got to be smart about things. I mean, I don't want my body on the Internet," says Stacey Stokes, 19, a bronzed bikini-wrapped blonde from Colorado's Trinidad State Junior College. "A guy slipped his digital camera up my skirt last night. I kicked him in the head."

Nice. The guys from the Phi Kappa Tau frat at Chico State made a sort of legit adult film with porn stars from the adult film production company Shane's World…party on. Excellent. Except that they've been busted and suspended. (MTV News)

At least some students are exposing themselves for a good cause. According to Jossip, "the University of Arizona greek system is generating financial support for tsunami victims by posting sexy photos of their co-eds posing with an iPod shuffle." You can check out their site at iPose.org. For some reason I can't envision these photos in a real Apple ad….
