Driving Us Crazy
Posted by anastasia on 03-02-2005The media seems full of teen driving stories lately. Yesterday there was the lethal driver angle in USA Today. Today I found (what might have been a sidebar) about turbocharging driver's ed and making it more like…a video game. Reuters ran a study story about the rise in teens and young adults chatting on cell phones while driving. And the Washington Post (reg. required) ran a big story today about parents having the ability to monitor their teens while driving with a tracking device (are we heading into an era of chipping children? GPS monitored cell phones, cars…etc.). If there were mass adoption of this type of technology it seems like it would be almost impossible for teens to lie about where they are….
