Teen BlogHers

You may have noticed the BlogHer button over on the left side of this site. I've posted it because I will be attending and speaking on a panel at the first Blogher conference at the end of the month. The mission of the conference is to create "an opportunity for greater visibility, learning and success for individual women bloggers and for the community of bloggers as a whole."

I'm on a panel discussing citizen journalism, but the real fun [I hope] will be happening in a separate roundtable discussion I'm planning tentatively called Finding their voices: Teens & Blogging. I'm trying to get some of the teen bloggers I link to on Ypulse like Britta at a jeweled platypus and Lili at Bluebird Escape to join me, Katie & Julia in a conversation about teens & blogging. Lili is in Virginia and Britta is in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, I was late in proposing this session and so there is no more funding to help defray their travel expenses. For any Ypulse readers at companies, maybe there is a way to sponsor getting them to the conference in exchange for a free ad on Ypulse for 3 months and a sign I could hang at the session itself, materials I could put on the table at the session and a very public thank you. Just a thought. Email me if you're interested. Also, if you're a teen blogger or know one in the Bay Area who should join this discussion, let me know...
