When they're not selling cookies, the Girl Scouts are busy creating content. Check out their teen site 2B Studio, largely written by 11-17 year old girls from around the country who wanted to create a place for girls to hang out with each other online. The Studio's mantra encourages girls to "become, belong, believe, and build." The site includes an array of articles on topics like getting a good night's sleep and DIY jewelry. The Lounge offers a regular section By Girls For Girls with writing from different teen girls each month along with games and eCards. The Girls Scouts are definitely taking advantage of the Web to reach tween and teen girls.
