Reality Check
Posted by anastasia on 03-14-2006Just finished reading this month's Trends and Tudes from Harris — it's packed with great research for the book and for your work. If you don't think there is a new digital divide between teens and parents, here is a statistical reality check:
"Over one quarter (27 percent) of 13- to 17-year-olds readily admit that their parents think they know where they're going online, but they really don't know…
Even with parent's best monitoring efforts a little over one third (38 percent)of 13- to 17-year-olds report that they can easily prevent their parents from knowing where they go online."
