Check These Out
Posted by anastasia on 10-23-2006I had so many links for Essentials today, I decided to split them up into two posts. This post is a round-up of sites/campaigns to check out:
GrindTV.com (user generated action sports video is quickly finding many online homes in addition to the homemade DVDs that have always sold in skate, surf or snow shops. Add GrindTV to a list that includes AOL's Lat34.com and Yahoo! Current Action as well as video sections on the sites of big retailers.)
- A monkey could have written that song! (That's the theory behind this texting-oriented promotion being spearheaded in the UK by electronic artist SPARO - thanks Jason!)
- The new ELLEgirl.com is live (Check it out and post your opinions/thoughts in the comments)
- Columbia Pictures is giving away internships (to promote its new Will Smith flick "The Pursuit of Happyness.")
- More social networking sites! (This time one for young people working for the federal government [could they make this site look any less cool?] and a new DIY T-shirt network.) (both via Mashable)
- New 'Truth' campaign (which has obviously inspired creativity in state campaigns like this one for Washington)
- Spotlight on Digital Learning (the new MacArthur blog on youth and technology)
