I'm traveling again this week for speaking engagements leaving early tomorrow morning to fly to Austin for the Texas Conference for Women and then off to Detroit for the Michigan Librarians Association annual conference. I won't be able to post tomorrow, but will post Thursday morning and hopefully early Friday morning.
Also, I'm on a panel at a supercool event in San Francisco being organized by the Bay Area Video Coalition called True2Life. My panel is at 2:30 p.m. Here's the full description:
2:30pm - Panel: Shake-Up in Cyperspace: The New Ecosystem
Youth Bloggers, Pop Culture and National Security Technorati cites that, on average, a new weblog is created every second of every day. Youth occupy a significant space, presence and challenge to cyberspace and increasingly their presence is being felt through blogs. How are their free speech experiments, micro-commerce practices, and developing politics changing the rules of the Internet? This discussion moves beyond youth voice and expression to engage policy, economic development and communities online.
Panelists will include representatives from YPulse, Grouper Video, YouTube, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Wired and SF Chronicle.
So if you're in town (San Francisco), come check it out and introduce yourself!
Next Tuesday, I'm heading down to Los Angeles for the day to attend What Teens Want West (you can still get $200 off if you want to attend). Please feel free to email if you want to meet/chat at some point during the conference.
