Threadless to open a Chicago store (which I'm sure will be cool because pretty much everything they do is cool)
- DJ Calvin Harris (pisses off UK parents by encouraging everyone over-16 in the country to have a house party just before the release date...1K teens have said they are throwing parties so far!) (The Telegraph)
- Rudy's daughter (was an Obama fan on Facebook...oops) (Reuters)
- Crash Bandicoot (one of the only games post Pac Man that I actually enjoyed playing, is now "the new face for the School & Youth programs, which teach kids about helping their community and kids with blood cancers.") (Game Informer)
- American Vulture? (popular teen retailer American Eagle is being targeted by activists for being anti-union)
- TV's most powerful teens (Miley Cyrus, 14, star of Disney’s "Hannah Montana," Dylan and Cole Sprouse, 15, stars of Disney’s "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody," Emma Roberts (niece of Julia), 16, star of Nickelodeon’s "Unfabulous," and Hayden Panettiere, 17, the breakout star of NBC's "Heroes") (Suburbazzi)
- Suing fans (this time its Regal Cinemas suing a teenager for recording 20 seconds of "Transformers" to show to her 13-year-old brother. Oh brother.) (Yahoo! Tech)
- Teens binge on liquor (not beer...kind of a no-brainer, when you're a teen the goal is to get drunk fast) (MSNBC)
- Nine out of 10 Americans (want to ban texting while driving...yet over half admit to doing it) (Reuters)
- Alltel attempts to attract new subscribers (into its "Man Cave") (New York Times, reg. required)

"Zero tolerance" = stupidity and injustice.
Jhannet Sejas isn't just being sued for using a camcorder in a movie theater. She was arrested and may be prosecuted.
====================
Kendrick Macdowell, general counsel for the Washington-based National Association of Theatre Owners, said that illegal pirating of films costs the industry billions of dollars and that the industry was stepping up efforts to stamp it out.
Because of that, he said, there has to be a "zero-tolerance policy at the theater level."

The Threadless store is like a 10 minute walk from my house. It's been there for a while... but unopened.
There was a salty-dog-ish homeless man sleeping while standing up last time I passed. That's gotta be a blessing.
Needless to say, I'm pumped for the store.
