Tila Tequila goes prime time (in a bi-sexual dating show on MTV...I don't really know what to say about this so I will defer to Idolator's witty commentary. Plus MTV is launching loads of new niche sites including one for girl gamers. And a design contest with HP) (Hollywood Reporter) (Marketing Week UK)
- Lab rats (Alcatel Lucent has launched a blog to share research from its "teen lab")
- Getting it right with Gen Y (a podcast from Deloitte on Gen Y @ work)
- Move over 'Kate Modern' (Bebo is launching its next web series "Sofia's Diary" this fall) (U Talk Marketing)
- Gen Y works to live (or moves to places they want to live to find work - thanks Bob!) (New York Times, reg. required)
- Is the era of rap superstardom over? (asks Slate...and is TV a dying medium for this generation? Asks a Hollywood Reporter TV columnist after discovering his 21-year-old's son disdain for television)
- Teen knitting is a sign (that some teens are turning away from the wired lifestyle...this and other "microtrends") (Newsweek)
- Turn it down (MP3 players can damage your hearing) (BBC)
- Social networking (for the Sidekick set. Plus even cartoon characters need a social network)
- Movie to put on your 'to see' list ("Juno") (USA Today)
P.S. Don't forget to take the Ypulse Reader Survey -- we're giving away five $50 Amex gift checks to survey respondents.
