Submit Your Ideas For Ypulse Year End Posts

Posted by anastasia on 11-27-2007

It's that time again — I'm working on my Ypulse Year In Review posts where I recap what I thought were the biggest trends in youth media and marketing this past year. This year I'm looking for reader submissions as well. You can post them in the comments or email me with your suggestions. If I choose one of your trends, I'll credit you and link to your site. For those of you who like to look into your crystal ball and predict trends for 2008, send those as well. Look for these posts the week of December 8th. I'm writing them in advance since I will be going on a desperately needed vacation that week.

Also, just a reminder. The Ypulse Guest Post program has launched. Kristen sent the first reader-submitted post, which inspired some lively discussion around online anonymity. I also sent lots of invites to various folks in the space to help seed this program as well. If you have an idea, just email me and let me know a little bit about you, your work, etc.

  1. Eric Jaffa Says:

You could write about the 2007 debut of PCD Presents: The Search for the Next Doll and the plans for a second season of PCD Presents in 2008.

  2. Neill Kramer Says:

2007: Young people bummed out that older folks can join Facebook
2008: More innovative uses of instant messaging will appear as young people move away from "older" and "slower" messaging systems such as email. One interesting example: shopping and IMing. Who's opinion do you trust more, some stranger's comments on a web page or instant feedback from a trusted buddy?
