Isn't the reason for parent's home being most popular because all (or almost all) students have a parent's home while students are split in their own living situations between dorm, off-campus, frat/sorority, and living at home? I mean, students definitely procrastinate when they go home for holidays, but I think that the #1 answer would be: "my primary living space."
