- Calling all tech-savy students (Sony Creative Software is sponsoring a "Technology in Motion" contest where high-school students are encouraged to explore the idea of how technology will shape our future.) (SLJ)

- Sherman Alexie writes about... (why he wrote The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian and the universality of the young readers that have read and loved it.) (Publishers Weekly)

- Before you see the movie... (Check out this interview with Spiderwick Chronicles author Holly Black) (Media Blvd)

- Getting to know Eminem (Again? I thought he was sort of...over. Nevertheless, The Way I Am is out in October.) (Bookseller)

P.S. From Anastasia: Congrats to 2007 Ypulse Mashup speaker Tina Wells (CEO of Buzz Marketing, also a former Ypulse advertiser) on selling her Mackenzie Blue series -- it won't be in stores for at least a year but is already generating controversy.
