Newsweek reports that even with the proliferation of campus sex magazines, college students are actually having less sex (thanks Andrea!).
The New York Times, reg. required, had a couple campus media related items including a piece on how students at the Colorado State University college newspaper Gannett is trying to buy has decided to fight the takeover. They also ran a column on whether the news media can hold students' attention after this election.
The AP reported on JuicyCampus.com, which sounds like a hotbed for cyber nastiness (thanks Courtney!). All I can say is please don't launch a high school version of this site.
AdAge.com, reg. required, reports on the surge in damand for organic food on campus (though there is also confusion about exactly what that means).
And in youth vote news, a reporter over at Politico gave me the heads up about this blogpost giving Perez Hilton credit for blogging about the election (he's a Hillary supporter) and argues that young voters do consider the celebrity (or celebrity wannabe) factor in endorsements. Plus Reel Pop on Barackula, the musical (reminds me a little of the "Buffy" musical episode).
And, according to news from Down Under, graduates are using text message abbreviations and gaming slang in their job applications -- 4 real.
