Lots of youth voting stuff to mention on the eve of Super Tuesday (I will be "Baracking the vote," personally). SurveyU just sent over their latest data on the college student vote:
This research was gathered between January 31st and Feb. 3rd:
Barack Obama (59 percent)
Hillary (18 percent)
Ouch.
On the Republican side:
John McCain (34 percent)
Mike Huckabee (16 percent)
Ron Paul (14 percent)
Mitt Romney (9 percent)
Check out the full release here.
TIME.com has their cover story on this being "the year of the youth vote) and MTV's citizen journalists will be capturing Super Tuesday via cell phone -- here's what they're using.
And finally, there's a new site for teens too young to vote to make themselves heard. BBYO just launched My2CentsforChange.org - check it out. Also, I have a personal essay about my own high school activism that will be published in the Declare Yourself anthology due out in May.
