- 'One Life To Live' (does its version of the Jamie Lynne Spears story) (Reuters)

- Abercrombie's R-rated new underwear pitch (Bob Garfield: "You're 16, and you are therefore a walking-talking hormone engine, so why not visit our website, declare yourself at least 18 and watch our semi-soft-porn vignette? There are nipples involved!") (AdAge.com, reg. required)

- Pitchfork to launch its own version of MTV... (or at least the old MTV that was more about music, online)

- Inside Tony Hawk's empire (how he helped turn skateboarding into a multibillion-dollar industry) (USA Today)

- Haven't got time for the pain (one fifth of college students are abusing prescription drugs) (Reuters)

- The Tiger Woods of swimming? (Meet 13-year-old Lia Neal) (New York Times, reg. required)

- The 'Text Generation Gap' (and, more importantly, danah's take) (New York Times, reg. required)

- The new MySpace safety PSA (obligatory? And MyYearbook is now the number four social networking site. Full disclosure: MyYearbook is a Ypulse advertiser) (AdGabber) (Venture Beat)

- More teen multi-tasking research (new report from Grunwald) (Media Post, reg. required)

P.S. I'm going to type up my notes from the Steven Johnson/Henry Jenkins keynote tomorrow -- ran out of time today (it was way, way better than the Facebook keynote).

P.P.S. To the tipster who sent the NSBA report and BizWeek chart, thanks! I covered them awhile back here and here.

I read about Lia Neal this weekend, and felt that the comparison to Tiger Woods was... unfortunate.

She's a dynamo. I want to *be* her. I want her to get to be anything she wants -- and not stuck with the Tiger Woods thing.

Lia is AMAZING. I love you.... i love you... omg. hah.

check out annie zhu if you want to see her competition.... although zhu is breaststroke and apparently mean b/c i don't see any articles about HER and she made the trials too!!!

GO LIA * GO LIA * GO!
