Emo bashing (in Mexico. This is really intense -- sorry I'm late on this story, but there has been a wave of violence in March against the "emo" community in Mexico -- this latest dispatch alludes to homophobic undertones) (Intersections)
- One Beastie's hoop dreams (Adam Yauch directing the new youth basketball doc "Gunnin' For That #1 Spot") (Pop Candy)
- McDonald's behind 'The Lost Ring' (ARG game promoting the Olympics that we mentioned a while back) (New York TImes, reg. required)
- 69 percent of teen girls (play console games...I'm guessing that at least half of that percentage is on the Wii. Plus the video games girls play) (stat in Media Life Magazine interview on casual gaming) (Contra Costa Times)
- Trusting teen girls (interesting post over at Huffington Post about "Sophie" the troubled teen girl patient in HBO's "Addiction." Between having a mother who is a counselor and a husband who is training to be a shrink and all of my own ongoing head shrinkage, I just can't watch that show)
- If you're into "High School Confidential" (check out this post where "Cate" responds to Tyra Banks) (MindOH! blog)
- Nick to produce its own 'HSM' (called "Spectacular." Plus The L.A. Times, reg. required, on how Disney is going full throttle with the Jonas Bros.)
- Whole Foods finds its online kid talent (online -- its ugc effort appears to have been a success. Plus this kid really, really wants to be famous) (USA Today)
- It's the people, not the technology (why IT should unblock. Plus I think high schools should be using Big Think - see this Nation write up on the site. And USA Today on "the graduation gap" between suburban and urban high schools) (Fast Company)

They left out the really interesting details on Camp Rock. The premiere will be simulcast on Radio Disney (in addition to Disney Channel, ABC Family, ABC and Disney.com).
In the past Radio Disney has had it's fair share of criticism for not disclosing it's a 24/7 advertisement for the Disney brand. Could this put them in the crosshairs with the FCC where the rules are much different than cable tv?
