- Hang Ten (remember that brand? It's coming back — at Kohl's) (Milwaukee Journal Sentinal)

- Combating childhood obesity (through gaming) (Gamasutra via Izzy Neis)
- Fear of wrinkles (among Gen X & Y means big business) (Media Post, reg. required)
- Generation gap (Current TV pod on the youth vote, which helped fuel many of Obama's primary wins - thanks Bob!)
- WTF? (a teacher attempts to scare students straight by telling them their friends were killed in a drunk driving accident — when they weren't. Oof. Thanks Eric!) (Mercury News)

Regarding the highway patrol officers in California who "visited 20 classrooms at El Camino High School" and lied to students by saying their classmates had died in drunk driving accidents:
The students may be more vulnerable to depression as a result of the trauma and betrayal.
They may be MORE likely to drink-and-drive after the argument they were given against it turned out to be a lie.
Guidance counselor Lori Tauber says "They were traumatized, but we wanted them to be traumatized."
Supposed someone phoned Lori Tauber and told her that her friend died of lung cancer, so that she'd be "traumatized." Then the person called her again the next night and said it was just a lie to teach her the danger of cigarettes.
I doubt Lori Tauber would praise the hoax when she was the victim.

Would love to know what the readers think of the redesign!
