Correction On Yesterday's Essentials, 'Dreams ARE For Sale'
Posted by anastasia on 07-22-2008
In yesterday's Ypulse Essentials (and in the newsletter), Casey blogged that the High School Musical reality show with Nick Lachey was airing last night (doh!). Like many college students these days, Casey doesn't have a TV and didn't check the date of the article, and I have to confess, I didn't watch the show this weekend (too busy seeing "Mamma Mia" and "Dark Knight"!). Casey predicted it would do well, and I kind of thought it might do well, too, but it came in fourth in the ratings. If you think about the median age of network viewers vs. the Disney Channel, it kinda makes sense. Our apologies if you got the newsletter and attempted to tune in…

ABC's 'High School' sinks even further (Media Life Magazine)
Separately, Ypulse reader Meredith pointed out TrendCentral's (a Ypulse advertiser) article on brand collaborations that included MTV's "American Mall" and Sears. She wrote:
I was particularly intrigued by the ad for the "American Mall" movie with the tagline, "Love and dreams are not for sale" — except that, um, according to the description of the movie, they've already been sold to Sears!
BTW, the "American Mall" folks offered Casey a free trip to L.A. to attend the premiere. She will be blogging it for Ypulse…
