Kate VoegeleMySpace star Kate Voegele (is being sponsored by the University of Phoenix for her first tour….she is also attending the University of Phoenix while on tour. Plus MySpace is the official web partner of The Commission on Presidential Debates and will be offering ways for users to interact during the debates here)

- 'The Secret World of Sam King' (latest branded webisodes to launch on Bebo - "in conjunction with Universal Records UK. The series revolves around Sam, a junior employee in the Universal Music mailroom, who rallies the Bebo community to help him recruit new artists to the label - in fact, the first episode will feature a cameo of the Jonas Brothers…")

- Become a guitar hero (cool new video site Guitarinstructor.com launches to help teach us all to play guitar. And speaking of new sites, check out OPENSports, which is sports coverage + fantasy sports but more social. And vh1 gets into the gossip game with Scandalist. And more on Rocketon [in private alpha] which allows users to surf the web with their avatars) (Digital Journal)

- Editor & Publisher launches a new column (aimed at younger journalists, while Ben & Jerry's tries social media to attract a younger demographic) (MediaPost, reg. required)

- Facebook for school (and video games for good - helping cancer patients take medication. And Stomp Out Cancer looking for bands to contribute to a CD for the charity.) (TechCrunch) (Reuters)

- Michigan school… (tells the RIAA to back off!) (Media Post, reg. required)

- Tina Wells thinks this generation of teens (is handling the recession better than previous generations) (Huffington Post)

- Adidas launches a 'sound widget' (while Nike launches an "action sports urban assault vehicle.") (MarketingVOX) (BrandNoise)

P.S. Current TV turns 3. This video makes me miss the old office.

P.P.S. Teens and parents "friending" on Facebook — yours truly quoted.

P.P.P.S. The Ypulse LinkedIn group is over 150 and counting. If you work in youth media or marketing, join up!

God bless Central Michigan. I should have knew the Chips wouldn't let such criminal behavior stand. I myself was a victim of malicious investigation during my freshman year of college which, thankfully, only resulted in the disabling of my internet.

  2. Eric Jaffa Says:

Any info on how Current TV is doing (ratings, number of homes it's in, profits, or anything like that?)
